Random trivia about the 92-96 mazda 929 and why it wasnt sold in europe.

" Well it could not pass one of the regulations over there..... that being that the headlight globes could not be changed from behind the lamp (ie: from inside the engine compartment.)

Apparently, the dealers loved the vehicle and thought it would be a good seller and begged Japan to alter the design to accomodate the fitting of the globes.

What did the designer think of their pleas?

Something along the lines of:

"The design of the car is perfect and we will not change it. If this means the car cannot be sold in Europe, so be it."

I wonder if the designers still carry as much clout?"

i just thought it was kind of funny...maybe? i dont know?
