Maybe its too late but I didn't see this thread before.

Anyways.

Your towing an Evo and a trailer correct?

First you will probably want to go enclosed trailer honestly, its nice to put the extra tires and whatnot inside. I actually tow Ryan Doi's (Bluebyyouevo8) to the track and around the country. I pull a 28 ft enclosed Halmark Trailer without the V nose. V nose trailers aren't that great and don't reduce much drag. Just get a flat nose, its not worth the cash.

Second, the rig your pulling it with. Note to self, yes you can pull it with a 1500 series gas truck but have fun when you wanna drive through the night and depend on your rig to get you back in the mountains of Tennesee at 3 in the morning.
I would highly reccomend a Diesel 3/4 ton truck without doubt. The diesel motors are made for heavy towing loads and suspension under those trucks are going to be much tougher.

Your two choices would be a Dodge 2500/3500 Diesel (cummins) with a manual tranny. I would not trust the Auto matic towing with that truck. The Cummins motor is a great inline six motor however the tranny is quite weak. I would get the manual if I drove a dodge.

The other choice which is my pick after serious consideration, would be an F250/350. I have an 03 F250 FX4 6.0 Diesel. Its stock with exhaust and pulls a 10k load like its nothing. I have driven Dodges and Fords and Chevys, I personally favor the International Powerstroke Motor. I have pulled up next to Common Rail Cummins Dodges on the highway with similiar loads and I can easily pull on them and my truck doesn't down shift going up a hill, the V8 torque just pulls it right up. Ford Superduty trucks also feature a 5 speed tranny which is usually good for 500-550 hp in stock form. Many many many Ford Owners are running stock trannies with 300k and pushing well into 500 hp.

You could also get a Duramaxx Chevy but I personally do not like the chevy heavy duty trucks. They are IFS (independent front suspension) and are not made for abuse.

I have pulled 10k loads with my 1500 5.3 chevy and will never do it agian. I took a 70 mile trip with my 1500 and wasn't sure if my engine was going to hold up to how hard I was working it.

I know many people have posted but I would like to remind you that I actually tow exactly what you have and am very familiar with these things.
My setup -
03 F250 Diesel
28 Ft Hallmark Enclosed
Track Evo 8
Extra tires, tools, air compressor, fridge, full lights and AC in the trailer, winch too.
(Think about getting a winch in your trailer so when you do put it into a wall you can pull it back in the trailer without people taking a million FUCKING pictures while your shit is wrecked.

Seriously, if you have anymore questions feel free to PM me Ill help as best of my knowledge.
