I'm not paying 33k for a maxima when I can get the bigger Altima with the same engine for 7k less. It cant even be RWD becase of the G35 as you mentioned. That pretty much leaves the maxima with nowhere to go.

They would have been smart to limit the Altima to just the 2.5 and reserve the 3.5 for maxima and higher.

Oh well, its their problem to figure out.
LOL it's funny how little you know...where to begin...

ONLY the 1st gen maxima's were RWD, 1981-84 models, and those were hardly the defining benchmark of anything. Maxima's have since then been FWD, and have only improved overall.

Stating that it is not popular anymore is relative so that's YOUR OPINION, many cars' sales have been down lately. And the fact of the matter is that NISSAN MAXIMA's OUTSELL V-6 model accords and camry's.

I'm not saying that maxima's are the best, but you really have no idea what you're talking about.

I say from what I remember back in the late 80s and early 90s. Back then Maximas were "the shit"! Now its just another car with nothing really going for it. The thrill is gone. My best friend's parents owned three maximas and my uncle owned two. Those cars used to talk to you and say stuff like "door ajar" and that was a big deal back then.

Umm I gave you sales figures - and those numbers are fact - not my opinion. They show that maximas are no longer popular.
Why do you insist on injecting personal attacks into all your posts anyway?

Here is a great review of the new 6MT SHAWD TL that was posted on Temple of VTEC. The car was compared on the track to the 335i, G35S, and S4.

    Just a taste....

Ehh they are not as common as camry's and accords on the street so maybe they are unpopular...But enough talk about maxima's and how they suck etc...

This thread is about the new tl's, and they suck. Interior is nice, car moves quick. But they made it too big, heavy, and ugly. And a luxury car has to look nice IMO...

If they put an open grille with a floating Acura emblem like the last models, it would look great. I do love the tails on the new TL, the total package beats the Camry, which looks better than ever, even with the TL's funky grille.
Some say that his politics are terrifying, and that he once punched a horse to the ground...
