you might want to talk to spoolin cause i do believe he's laying down well over 600+ and still gettin about 30mpg.Originally Posted by blackboi50

TOO BIG
300 HP is enough for me for smooth highway cruising, with still plenty of power on tab if I need to pass other cars. It would also help if it is out of an efficient engine, like the V6 in the IS 350.....
Too bad that such engine requires premium gas..![]()
I got free clear tails with my ride.....
give me a 200-250hp all motor b-series and I'm all smiles![]()
i want a weekend car with no less than 500 at the ground!
I'll be content with putting down 200whp while still getting 28+ mpg. Anything after that will be silly for daily driving useage.
K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.
x2! any car higher than 350 or so cudnt be a DD or atleast not for meOriginally Posted by blackshine007

For my Road Race car I would be happy if it makes right around 700hp. For my drag car 900-1000 seems about right for my daily anything over 400hp is acceptable.
Matt
if i could put down 300-350hp to the wheels i would be more than content. heck im putin down appox 250 rwhp( on a dynojet/dynapack) now and im content. the way i look at it is, any more than 350 would be a handful, and there will always be a faster car out there-so no point in making mine super carzy fast. thats my veiws.
100 because its all Ive ever had and it works fine for me in autox. it is fun to drive a beast of 500+ but I think id get tired of buying tires and gas
95 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon Limited
depends what car.
FWD car - prolly around 200hp
rwd car - miata size 200hp
rwd car - mustang size 400 hp
4wd car - sti size - 350 hp
drag car rwd - 600 hp
drag car 4wd - 600 hp
The simple fact that gas prices are what they are, ill settle with barly enough to move from a - b.
i would be happy with 300 strait up. i drive a 1st gen crx so 300 would be like death its one of the lightest hondas made. but realistically everyday driving would probably be a ***** especiall cause gas prices
I have 405whp DD and 344 whp depending on boost maps. I plan on doing a shortblock build with meth injection just for added safety. my daily driver map will be about 480 whp, a 93 octane/meth map of mid 500's and maybe a race gas map for the track of high 500- low 600 whp. Then I will be happy. Anything in the 500 range on the street is getting to be overkill because you can't get traction unless running from a roll. Hope to get this within the next 6-8 months.![]()

08 Infinity G37 Coupe Sport FOR SALE 29k (Sold)
id say 200-260whp FWD/RWD. I'd like to have a boosted accord(sleeper) at like 230whp(long term goal) for a DD, and a 250whp rx7 for my starter drift car.

I always need more power.
h22 all motor at around 235 would tickle my fancy im at 195 now
300rwhp would make me real happy, but right now ill be happy if i can get it into the 200whp
My truck makes high 300's. Thats plenty for me daily. For the weekend I would probably need twice that.
depends....for my 'daily driver" I'd probably want about 300whp. For my "project car" prob about 600whp...my 2 cents
200 hp & ft/lb tq would be PLENTY enough for me. With my current car producing around 100-110 iirc from the factory 125hp, it noticeably feels underpowered on a hot day w/ a/c on in stop and go traffic, mostly on the highway. 200 would be enough to obtain good gas mileage with some oompff when needed
I was thinking about this the other day. I was looking at the prices for supercharger porting and I was debating getting a port job for $700 and making around 515hp and about the same tq with all supporting bolt ons, or saving up $3K and getting a twin screw and end up making in the 600hp range.
Saving up $3K is a completely different story than saving up $700 so the short answer is that the port would be worth it because I honestly think I will be happy with 500ish RWHP.
On the other hand, I know once I'm @ that power level, Im gonna regret wasting money on the Port and Kick myself in the ass for not saving for a twin screw because the new magic number will be 600...
well ive had 457hp/475tq for about 8 months and it was always a rush when i floored it and i got use to it so id probably want about 600rwhp then i would be really happy lol, realistically im gonna have about 510-530 in the next year but my alltime goal is to break the 600 mark
edit: damnit dieselnuts beat me by like 10 mins lol

numbers now are pulley swaped stock supercharger, 510-530 would be ported supercharger, ultimate goal is either with a whipple or kenne bell

I want between 300-400. basically 300rwhp for for driving but alway have that little extra bit on tap if ya need it. plus 300 hp in an FC sounds like fun to me. i think 400 could get a little out of hand.
Try not. Do or Do not.
Ive never had a high hp vehicle, so I would want to accelerate as fast as my bike.
Ultimately >500whp, although I'd be happy to see 400whp out of what I'm driving right now.
i'd be happy with ~350-400whp for my DD. IMO, it's pretty pointless to have like a 700+whp daily driver just because that's all it is -- a daily driver. It's not like you can go all 'Paul Walker' on the way to work every day.
I'd be happy with 300-350whp in my 4-dr civic. i should be there in about a year.
