    Default Timing?

    Is there a way to pull off my head to replae the head gasket without throwing off the cam timing?

    YOu must remove the camshafts and timing belt to remove the head.

    it is possible to mark the timing belt, before u remove the belt. So you really wont have to reset the timing.... ive done it plenty of times. only thing that really has to come of is the belt... the camshafts can stay on.

    the crank pulley has a timing mark on it, it lines up with a mark on the block behind the back timing belt cover. there may be a mark on the back timing belt cover as well. does require a little time and some know how so be sure you know what you're doing.
