    Default Which SUV???

So I'm in the market for a medium sized SUV. I don't have a lot of experience with SUV's, so any input concerning performance, reliability, gas mileage, etc would be great. My price range for this vehicle is around $30k or so. I have two other cars, so I'm not looking to get anything extravagant. I want something that is 4 wheel drive, and has a V6 or larger (I know the H3 has a inline 5cyl, but it makes decent power).

Ok poll is up. I also listed some lease options that seem to be good deals right now (especially the H3).

my mom used to have a Ford excape, it had a v6(plenty of power) was a really nice small suv. seats folded down gave alot of cargo room. nice interior. decent styling. got about 24mpg which is good. idk if i was in the market i would get that or an nissan murano, there nice.

I'm a personal fan of the grand cherokees they are spacious 4x4 and they look pretty nice but if you didn't want an American SUV I would say the toyota highlander doesn't look too great but its nice on the inside

I don't really like chrysler products. I have a friend with a newer grand cherokee and it just seems cheap and plasticy on the inside.

do you want a suv to go off road? Or just light moving and bad weather situations?

Personally I would get a Forester.

I want the capability to go offroading. I used to have a Z71 truck, and since I got rid of it a few years ago I've missed not being able to go wherever I need to.

Thats a little out of my price range. To get the X5 I would want (V8, 2004 or newer) it would cost too much.

    i have an 06 xterra and it's alright. 4.0L v6, mine's 2wd but i don't really need 4wd. it's about $55-60 a tank of gas for me and i can get at least 300 miles to a tank (21 gallon tank + K&N filter).

but i had the choice of another SUV it would be the new 4runner, no questions asked

the 4runners are ok, but I would want one with a V8, and those are considerably more expensive.

the hummer is looking better and better. Insurance is average compared to the rest of my choices, its cheap to finance or lease through GM, and they hold their value as good as the rest.
