Default B16B + B20z2 Block *reps be added*

i was wondering what kinda power it would pull. debating on building up a b20/vtec, B16b head with skunk2 dual springs, skunk2 valves & retainers, skunk2 stg 2 camshafts, mildly port and polish, stock b20z2 block and obd2 ctr ecu.....if anyone or any specialist would let me know from your perspective, how much of power would it put down thank you...!

stock block with that setup would yield somewhere in the neighborhood of 165-175hp to the wheels with a B16 transmission.

depends a lot on the builder

kinda hard to put numbers on a setup like that, because it's too many factors that can change the output of the motor.

true statement bro, typically however, one could expect to see those numbers with that setup if the equipment used is in good shape to begin with. His stock compression is what's going to kill that engine's performance, and he will need to be extra careful to not rev past 7,500 in order to keep his bearings in place - so the full potential of the cams won't be realized either.

    oh well

    Default if it helps any

I ran a untuned b20vtec supercharge from a 2nd gear roll to 4th. Had him until 4th gear and then he was creeping up but couldn't tell if he *could've * kept on passing me because there was a car in front of him and we had to slow down. Good run and it's pretty quick to keep up with a Evo. Me & him will run again one day from a dig.. Lookn forward to it.

The only thing is with a stock B20 block and that ecu you got to watch for overreving it, that block can't handle the rpm's like the ctr can...... Other then that it should be pretty quick little set up....

if your gonna build it build the block. it will make it well worth it in the long run. theres no sense doing it twice just do it once and do it right. you will be very happy with the results if you throw some higher compression pistons in there it will make the engine come alive.

If i were to built a b20/vtec, i would start of with building the bottom end first to handle the stress. Non-vtec motor don't rev as much as a vtec does. To me, it would be a waste of money and time. The first that could go wrong could be your rod bearings.

I personally would go with skunk 2 pro 1's over the regular stage 2's.
