unless you want problems, do not use anything else other than ngk plugs.

anytime there's a car on the dyno with ignition issues it's usually because there are bosch, autolight, or champion plugs or generic plug wires. dropping in a set of ngk plugs or replacing the wires with stock usually clears up the issue immediately.

many d-series come with 5's so bkr7e or zfr7f plugs would be recommended. i used zfr6f plugs for a while and switched to bkr7e and had fewer instances of knock during the summer months on my y7.
