Celica GT-S or RSX Type S?

how would the type-s have 195 whp stock, they only have 200 crank??? I would figure around 175ish

lol a type S isnt 195 whp its more about 160-170whp remmber it has low torque it losses alot of power but ye a best bet would be to go with a Dc5 i like em alot more than a celica

RSX S..... hands down. i LOVE both cars... trust me i rode the fence for a long time but even with the celica being out as long as it has... NA to NA power... the RSX wins by alot... i still enjoy the celica but dollar for dollar RSX

yea, the celica gts was made to fight the teg type r. but i think the TypeS is alittle more advanced than the celica. id take the RSX!

its AWD, would that give enough of an advantage?

Well I'm no car wiz, but I'm sure the AWD would weigh it down more than make it faster unless the engine has enough power to counter the weight.

the question is track speed, not to mention the old bodystyle might weigh less. Im simply speculating I have no facts. I wanna hear from someone who knows.

GT4s are nice.....but for the cost of the rsx-s,could get a 6gc with 3sgte swap and blow the doors off both of them on a road course or drag

The owner of the celica says it in the comments, and i remember when the video was posted BACK IN 2000 "when the gts first came out" on honda connection, it was like the streetfire.net of that time. the site is long gone now. But they had soo many races on that same road.

"that's my Celica and it's bone stock, the integra has an intake and exhaust but it has some 22lbs rims on it.. he had me by a couple of feet, but it was my 3rd race ever and this was in July/august of 2000"

I had a rsx-s and i have driven the gt-s and i say hands down the rsx because all u need is some dc header's and kpro and u have a nice quick (S) for what it is and it will out run the gt-s hands down.

I'd pick the Type S. With bolt ons like header, TP, catback and Kpro, that car is to be tinker with. It's light too.

the celica makes 180hp with a 1.8L and weighs 2500 pounds

so thats pretty damn even,i think it just comes down to which one u like more
