    Post Need help

Ok...Picture this...(cuz my camera broke and I can't upload pics) I'm drivin a White Frost 08 Nissan Altima Sedan 2.5s. I want to make it into a show car with only a cold air intake under the hood for a little more umph. I got a couple of idea to make it pop and stand out from the others, but I want some input from you guys (and girls) as well.

    My ideas:
    1.
Eibach springs to lower it about 1.5"
18 or 19 inch deep dish chrome/silver and black rims
    15-25% tint all around
    tint the tail lights
de-badge except for the nissan emblem...or completely debadge. not sure yet
    and then audio/video upgrade

    2.
almost same as above, but gold plate the silver stuff....front trim, back trim, window outline..the works and debadge the altima and 2.5s emblems
Gold wheels;not sure of the brand...they are really hard to find
and eibach's to lower it about 2-2.5" cuz i don't think gold wheels come bigger than 18

    What do y'all think?!

dish wheels (work, SSR, Volk), COILOVERS, shaved body moldings, NO GOLD ON THE CAR ITSELF! polish your intake manifold, have superstar customs paint your VC or engine cover (plastic) de badge it, custom lisence plate, tint, exhaust... then do a completely custom stereo with glassing and small light effects... thats a good START.

CF hood, trunk, custom paint and there from there you gotta come up with alot of stuff on your own... i got ideas... but i started you off

YEAH coilovers.... if you want your car to handle as well as look good then spend the cash on a decent set probably about 800+ is for a set of TEIN basics... the staple for a good handling and cheapER kit. don't spend money on things you'll want to replace later... its just a waste of money. trust me i've done it and am regretting it... besides a show car wants to get low but no one wants to bust their gorgeous front bumper or lip on a pebble riding that low with a show car on the road. so adjustablity it key.

and mike does amazing work he's done a famous 1 or 2 i think.... they always turn out flawlessly! best work IMO!

I like your first idea much better than the second, the gold might come off as "pimp" if you were in...i dunno, an el dorado, but on an altima it's gonna look ricey, no way around it.

Your first option sounds kinda neat though. I agree with not buying anything you're gonna replace later - save up and do it right the first time. Also, you didn't mention any kind of body kit, spoilers, etc...not going to do anything? or just don't know yet?

Also, it sounds very black-and-white, but doesn't seem like you're going for a panda look. I'd like to see a bit of color. Maybe blue neons? Have you ever been in an Audi, with the headlights on? Eeeeverything lights up red - the radio, the numbers on all the buttons, the climate control, the sunroof switch, even so far as the window up/down buttons and the reading lights in the backseat of the car. All the icons are red. You could do something similar to that (it's a really cool effect) in your altima. I've also seen people replace those silly foot lights with blue bulbs. I dunno why i picked blue, but any color would work.

I think something like that would give it that sort of pop. You know, it's just a nice clean show car but when you turn the lights out it sort of comes alive. Or maybe that's too ricey too; i'm losing track of what is and what isn't.

Did you have any plans for lighting?

I mean..I'm liking the gold emblems cuz i saw it on a skyline someone did...pretty cool, but i am leaning more to the 1st option too. I don't think the altima needs a body kit...it's pretty nice the way it is, but for now I'm not gonna deal with it. I already have the stock spoiler...anything else I think would be rice on this sort of car.

I thought about neons vaguely, but you're right..that would add a nice pop to it. The inside of my altima lights up burnt orange on the dash, controls, radio, etc., so i think that would be good. If I want to completely change the color though..how would i do that?

Thanks for the input, man. I don't understand how gold is ricey...if I'm going for a show car unique Snap and Pop type deal! Please explain this...someone

the ideas are flowing and nice... there are bulbs behind your dash and you can change them for maybe like 10 bucks... i did my all around... but BUY THE LED version... my bulbs are fading now after 2 years... so its more amber than red sigh... sad.. but its all good... as far as headlight housings go, if you want that light inside when you're parking lights are on, those are called "city lights" they are used in japan as a accent and "dusk and dawn" time lights when you're headlight don't always shine well but you're lights are on so it helps to be seen and doesn't blind pedestrians etc etc etc... the headlight housings have a seperate hole fro 168 or 912 bulbs... so you'll have to check

gold just doesn't always show well especially on the outside of the car, problem is that the genre of cars that use gold ARE pimp mobiles etc etc etc... however... if you're going to do it COMMIT strong to it... gold under the hood, PLATE things if you want to do gold... DO NOT paint them gold and have real shiny gold look else where... just a tip

I totally agree here. Think about the cars you see with gold trim - big expensive land yachts, caddilacs and lincolns and buicks and oldsmobiles. They say "I'm so rich i can gold plate my car!! Your car is chrome? How cheap." I expect the person riding in a car like that to get out carrying a gold plated cane and wearing a purple velveteen suit with a feathered fedora. I guess it's just stereotyping, and if that's what you're going for then more power to ya. But even when i see, i dunno, stock Toyota Camrys that came with gold badging and pinstripes it looks way too pimpmobile for my taste.

Of course, like he said ^^ if you're gonna do it then do it right. Go the whole hog. Gold palte the engine cover, heck do the brake calipers if you can, really do the whole thing. Don't cheap on it, because the whole point of gold plating is to look like you have so much money you CAN.

oh, as far as how to change the color of all the inner workings of the car, that i really don't know. If you wanted to go with red you could actually get an audi or Tiburon head unit for your radio, but replacing everything else...No idea. It'd be down to taking it apart and finding out how it worked.

To the rest of you guys. I see where you all are coming from. I'll stick with the second option. More clean look and still add the lights. I'll get 95alty to hook me up with someone to do it. If he doesn't tell me then I'll tell command he went AWOL and they'll stop his promotion! LMAO. just f***in witcha!
