    Default Cam question. Differences

Can someone tell me what the differences might be with a cam from stage 1-2-3 type of cam? mainly for a project I have right now how much power might be gotten from adding a cam with 2 more mm of lift over stock?

You question is not very easy to answer, If you had a cam manufacturer in mind it would be helpful. As a good rule of thumb stage 1 for street most don't requier valvetrane upgrades. Stage 2 mild race works better with I,H,E valvetrane a must, some requier a raise in compression. Stage 3 race best for fully built motors that need to make power at high rpm's will need EMS

sorry typed that kind of quickly earlier.

What I am looking for is . Have a more stout B16. rebuilt block with OS pistons, slight head work, intake, exhaust, and will have tunning once cam setup is decided. If I were to go with a cam setup lets say had identical duration ( hypothetically) how much would a mm or 2 mm or lift make a difference power wise?

    thanks!

in a B16 you dont want to go to big since its such a small motor.

    Id go with a BC3+ or a Skunk2 Stage 3
