No kidding, I don't care for Ford but I used to swear by SVT. Anything they touched turned to gold. Look at the 03' gen Cobras, they were ****ing monsters. Not to mention the Lighting, and uber sweet handling, and sounding SVT Focus.Quote:

I think SVT was the backbone of Ford performance, now they're trying to give us a 500hp Mustang with the name "Shelby" on it, and hope that maybe we will all overlook the fact that it weighs nearly 4,000lbs. Not me. **** power, and **** torque, the first thing I look at when guesstimating the performance of a new car is it's weight.
American car manufacturer's have got to quit trying to take short cuts on making good cars, especially to their home audience. The automotive obesity epidemic might be overlooked by soccer moms, and dip ****s driving polished up Tahoes (read: H2 & H3) but for those of us with performance in mind, we aren't going to be fooled by power figures alone anymore.
Where's my Ion Redline? lol
im not trying to start anything but you must have not went on there that much or looked into the cars that much. there are more then 50 members just on that web site that have had their cats clogged. hell one guy had like 23 miles on his car and the cat clogged, the dealership told another guy that he used leaded gas and thats why his clogged but he didnt even know where to get leaded gas. if you search on there you will find all of the problems. also i didnt drive mine that hard. hell i didnt even get on it until it had 5k miles on it, well besides the test drive. i never even took my car to the track. these cars suck. hell i even have the pistons to show you guys what happen to me. this car was a waste of money for GM to make. i have talked to alot of people that have them and they wish they could get rid of them. dont get me wrong the car was fun as hell to drive and it was quick, hell i even kept up with a stock twin turbo supra from a dig (a few members on here would vouch for that):D all im saying is that i would never even think of buying another FI I4 car from GM, they dont know what they are doing. thats my .02Quote:

I totally trust the 2.2 Eco they started with, as I've seen nothig but good things from a good tune, forged internals, and 15+ psi. <---Thats not stating everything but you get the jist. Were the SS's just ran super rich out of the factory or do people know what caused the problems?

Take a **** in your hand, hold it up to the light and that is my opinion on the Cobalt.
