Says the Miata driver. I'm still laughing about your pointless GT-R gripe thread on 240ATL.

Peter, bro, why are you in here? Lol, your car is so unlike every other 240 out there... it's nice, done right, fast, etc.

Haha, I stumble onto IA every so often. I wouldn't say the car is fast, but it's quick enough to where I don't get laughed at by most of the Mustang owners in town.

Oh yeah, still looking for a hood, haha.

Hey, unlike all the 240 fanbois, I don't pitch a fit when anyone says the GT-R sucks. I just didn't understand why you felt the need to get on 240ATL and bring it up. And no, I'm not your stereotypical 240 driver and I laugh at all the 240SX jokes. Notice I have 255's on a 9" rim, not 215's, and my car is not held together with zipties.

If it's a weekend drift car, I guess.

I daily drive mine and I like knowing it ain't gonna fall apart when I go over a speed bump, haha. I dunno, I've seen to much janky work backfire on people. I made sure I did mine properly.

I can't remember my post, I just remember saying that both Porsche and the GT-R are good ****. If I was in the position, I'd still rather have the Porsche. The GT-R is gonna have it's flaws, just like all new cars do in their first year or two. Well, except Porsches. They're perfect 100% from the factory.

It depends. I love 240's when they are decked out properly and looking sexy as hail with a massive FMIC. But again, it is still just a sh*tty 2.0-2.4L engine. UNLESS they do a RB swap which is never.

Civics on the other hand are small economy cars that only need the 1.6-1.8L engine. You can make them look rather clean but it will always be FWD which is just garbage when you get away from that.

    My vote....both.

I'm just gonna step out on a limb and say I've seen more badass street Hondas than 240's.

Seeing as how most 240 owners consider a 2871R to be 'big' (which I think is pitiful), and most turbo Honda owners I know never start with anything less than a 50 trim, and most bolt on Honda kits are T3/T4 from the get go, I'd have to say that I'd put my money down on a turbo GS-R before most SR20's.

For what it's worth, I haven't even voted in the poll.

FWD car that takes $5,000 just to get it past 200hp...

Or a RWD car that you can spend $5,000 on the car, motor swap, and have it at 300hp if you do the work yourself (because it's SOOOO rocket science, right?)

    C'mon now.

Its not garbage BUT for cars, its mostly for packing and efficiency. Sure there are a few rare examples of FWD fun cars but real luxury brands and exotics all use mostly RWD or AWD platforms.

There is a reason for that

^Yeah, but a Honda Civic can handle just as good as a 240SX or RWD car.

Can you tell me why luxury cars use AWD or RWD? I doubt it's for performance, they handle like bricks. (Some)

Luxury cars normally make pretty big power. Too much torque for fwd.

True, there are alot of very fast FWD circuit cars. Time Attack for example where a Cobalt SS smashed all over everyone with only 300whp. Driven by John Heinrecy yes, but FWD nonetheless.

Not to mention all the autocross Honda's that always win, SCCA cars, Speed touring cars, etc. A FWD car can easily be setup to handle insanely well, and even oversteer and such.

I might know of a few N/A 240's that will bring the pain.

They might have 4 additional cylinders, though.

Idk, if I was actually interested in buying either of these cars I'd have to go with a 240. Both of them suck without a lot of money invested, which I do not have so I'm not interested in either. Ricers/fanboys ruin every car in one way or another, it's not the car's fault.

Eh, any car can be enjoyable with decent suspension mods and wheel/tire/brake combo.

But between these two cars, if that's all you do, it will still be slow, but it will be fun to drive. Hell, when I first got the 240 in my sig, it was bone stock, but with coilovers and lower offset wheels with better tires, I had fun beatin the crap out of the car. To be honest, I dunno if I want to see how much I have invested in it, but it's a total blast to drive and that's what matters.

And I still haven't voted in the poll.
