Default STI BBS wheels on a Impreza help?

Hey my friend has a 98 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS with a lug pattern of 5x100, he is wanting to put the 04-05 STI BBS wheels on there but they are 5x114.3,
and I know they do sell them in 5x100, but they are $3,000 dollars just for the rims, when i can buy them used off an STI for $900
so I was just wondering is it even possible at all, can he get these wheels on there? Help me figure out a way, can he bore the wheels out, or can he use the STI wheel hubs on his Impreza?

Youd need to get the hubs off an 05+ STI which would also entail getting the brembos and disks.

You could get a pro to redrill the wheels perhaps? Or just get some 5x100 wheels, there's always a bunch of cheap wheels FS on nasioc.

do NOT re-drill the goddamn wheels.... you are asking for a nightmare.... tell him to find some wheels he likes in his bolt pattern. if he wants to spend the money on the whole damn suspension off an STI AND the wheels then just go buy the damn BBS's

The 04 sti wheels are 5x100. Just find a set someone is selling from their 04. They changed the bolt pattern to 5x114.3 in '05. The wheels look the same but the '04s are 5x100.

Thank you, I was waiting for someone to clarify because I have seen plenty of 5x100 guys with STI wheels.
