    Default B20/LS

How much power can be had by bolting these two motors together stock...and then maybe with some serious headwork???

Opinions would be great but prefer fact. Thanks!

    Looking into a new setup.

    B20 block and LS head.....???

LS and B20's both come with p75 heads. Pretty much exactly the same...only slight camshaft differences. I do believe some JDM B20's came with P8R heads though. So...To answer your question, Expect to get the exact same performace as just a B20.

Actually, the head is most like going to be fully built.....p/p,cams, t/b; etc. The bottom end, aslo. B/cuz I'm thinking aout boosting it Next season. Just wanted to know. I'm not all that familiar with B series motors. Getiing up on my info is all.
    Thanks! More responses....please!

Dude, just buy a b18c1(GSR) put some cp pistons and eagle rods in it and put a turbonetics turbo kit on it. You could make an easy 260whp. Or you could just build a b18c1 all motor and make 200whp. It just depends on what kind of power you want.

whoops!!! Ok, well then since your talking about an Ls then just get a full Ls motor and build it. I don't think that the b20 block and Ls head would be a good combo. You could do a b20 block with a B16 head and build it, it could be good for almost 200whp. Or a Ls block with a GSR head and build it and that could be good for nearly 200whp.

Even just installing some RS MACHINES 84mm "JDM Type-R" pistons (Go to 85mm if you feel like paying for bore work), with stock shot peened 139mm rods, and balanced stock 89mm crank with ARP rod bolts would do awesome for a B20 bottom end with a VTEC head. You can build a 200whp B20/VTEC for rather cheap, using OEM internal components.

Mild porting to a PR3 (B16, B17, B18C5, all the same casting) head (Or just buy a bare Type-R head for $300 or so, stock ported), with Type-R valvetrain/cams/intake manifold/Max Bore "Type-R" throttle body, and a decent header/exhaust/intake combination, would do awesome with that bottom end. It would be absolutely fun as hell in a lightweight car.

Haha, it's not like it's nothing I've never seen before. I'm just curious. The term "built" seems to be thrown around a bit too freely. Not bashing on you in the least, I'm just saying.

i.e People telling me their bottom end is built... Because they have CTR pistons... Wow... Yeah, 12.5:1CR must do WONDERS for your stock GSR cams.

Hmmm... Well here is a better question, based on my recently acquired knowledge of this engine:

What are your goals for it?
