I plan on turboin my d series motor in less than a month and i was told since the full turbo kit i am gettin was off the same motor as mine stock and mines stock that i wouldnt have to get it re-tuned. is this true?

it depends on what device he used to tune his setup, and what he is giving you with the setup... if you are getting something mechanical such as fmu... then no, most likely you won't have to "tune" it, but if you are getting something electrical like VAFC with 450's then yes, you will most likely have to tune it...
i would get it tuned just to be safe.
a tuned map on one car is just a basemap on another even if the setups are identical. you never know when the flow of air or fuel may be different after you swap everything over.
get it tuned to be safe and sure.
