ok i just bought a full complete ZC Black Top dohc head for $20(sorry for the ghey paint colour i bought it like this) and i've been doing some research of what it takes to slapping the zc head on the a6 block. i've seen ppl do it for a turbo setup and other ppl do it too. but i've never seen it done or an all-motor build. here's a link:

i want to thanks to JDMEF7(of d-series), jlicrx(d-series, zcr.com, and h-t) and Don(SOHCinWA of d-series) for give some tech advice. so here's what you would see and need to know before you think of doing this type on build.

first my JDM ZC DOHC head top and bottom valve look.

my D16a6 block w/o pistons and a D16y7/8 head gasket.

and the ZC head w/the 7/8 hg on.

and close views of the hg head bolt holes line up.

ok now you've see the line up of the bolts now here's the line up of the hg. as you can see the D16y7/8 doesn't line up w/the head, it leans more to the intake side like .125mm towards the intake. but it sit pretty on the block.

so i guess you won't be seeing this in my car.

so the cool thing is i have extra of these.

and you'll have a good chance of seeing this in my ride.

but since money is short and tight it'll stay in storage till i get straight.

here's my dd rex interior.

i thought i would share this info w/pics and maybe the head will be revive on another project.
