i just think it is hilarious that a few years ago...and in some areas still. Body kits were kool if done correctly (painted, fit perfectly, etc...) But everyone has jumped on the bandwagon of calling anything with a kit or small spoiler rice. I agree the tailights are the worst investment but i still see some cars running around with kits and they look nice IMO (if done correctly).
the whole JDM thing is with lip kits.....KITS HELLO...it's a mild form of a body kit. same frigin thing. I like the tinting of the tailights but it is dangerous as fuk. at least those shitty ass euors i could see the brake lights...sometimes.

not all body kits make the car off balance. You guys think I like eveything. I said they look ok when done right. when they mix and match that shit it looks bad.
and not all JDM parts are that great nor are all the body kits. But most body kits are super strong with fiberglass, urethane, polyurethane. I dont see those as weak materials.
Also, the body kits WERE made for that car. The car makers didn't design the car with the intent of body kits being installed

I didn't read all this, but JDM DOES in fact = rice. It is all STUPID. The whole "JDM" lifestyle, 240 owners are bad at it as well. Hondas are worse. Search eBay for JDM, there are JDM seatbelt pads now....even JDM eBay coilovers. Some real sick stuff dude! Drifting has turned gay, JDM has turned gay, it's all turning stupid.
Now there is STILL some NICE JDM stuff around, some real clean well done cars, with a mix of JDM/USDM styling, real built cars, that stuff is cool. And there still is good drifting. But when I saw the Alfundersteer (search JJ Alfano) my image of drifting totally changed and I saw where it was going.
...not to mention the JDM Cavalier that went off the parking deck.

I have a OEM "JDM" momo steering wheel from the Honda Integra Type-R and it is by far the best wheel i've ever encountered, the design & quality exceeds all the others i've seen & used. Momo's Italy right? SO is it really "JDM"?

Seriously, JDM isn't all that. Look at speedminded's integra. I think it looks great, cause it's original. I'm tired of all the mainstream looks of hondas and acuras. If you really look, everyone buys the same "jdm" parts.
Lol not sure which year this cavalier was, but the last model was produced in japan. so Technically they can be just as JDM as your MiataIts even in the TRD Catalog

thats not quite correct. most of the stuff u c on ebay isn't actually JDM though. i've seen the name of a product advertised on ebay as "civic steering wheel JDM accord, integra, spoon" Its just a shitty seller selling shit. The term "JDM" just gets overused & thrown around a lot.
That doesnt mean JDM is rice. I promise you most of the so-called "JDM" stuff on ebay isnt even from Japan. Since JDM is the in thing, that's just a marketing tool to sell.

Speedminded-no we own a repair shop. I have been in body work for a very short time so i do not know all the tips and tricks. So, I would rather have some1 who has done this work and can do it to perfection.

ohh, gotcha. Urethane is a whole new world though and i'd say 99% of the bodyshops won't attempt it, or the proper way anyways...need to look up urethane and flexible plastic repair -- there is mixtures available that's basically a plastic weld.
