i have a gsr swap in my 96 civic and i dont have the top timing belt cover on there and i have whinning noise coming from that side. is that normal? and is the tension pully that the a/c belt goes on on a gsr differant from a b16a?

yes it will make more noise when you dont have a cover or the VC is cut
ok, good thanks.
its your supercharger
ummm i dont think its supercharged
yea thats why i put it in the all motor section lol.
yeah, i dont have the cover on mine either, i dont really think it sounds like a SC, but definitely louder than one with the cover
could be that your timing belt is too tight too, and the cover is cut.
Like he said, check your timing belt. If it is too tight it will cause the water pump to wine. LaterOriginally Posted by SleepinEj1
