    Default More slow cars..

    This time its me vs. R32 swapped GTI.

    GTI:
    stock swap. gutted.

    Me:
    same mods.

    First run. I spun a little bit harder than I wanted to, but I pulled by about a car.

    I assume that GTi was a VR6 to begin with to have an R32 swap. Interesting set up hes got

    Thanks bud. Yeah it was already a vr6. Its still fwd though so that's what's killing him. Gutted I think he said it still weighs 2800lbs. Lol

    Don't take anything he says for truth. He talked about that car being AWD turbo. I was trying to get him to run the trans am last night at the track and told him not to be scared of the high mileage GM product, he came back saying his car had 300k plus so no thanks, but posted a picture on FB showing 107k. Anyways, it ran a 15.5, lol...

    What was the trap on the 15.5??

    A bone stock R32 will go low 14's@97-100mph and they are about 3400lbs

    The VR6 cars wern't that slow.

    If I remember right 200ish HP, aluminum etc. Mid 6's to 60, maybe a high 14 pass if you are lucky.

    If you swap in an R32 motor, most likely you are going to flash the ECU anyhow to eliminate CEL's and one would probably go ahead and throw a header on there if they are spending all that money. Basically what i'm saying is it would be decently quick -- mid 13 second car @ over 100 with almost nothing done to it

    This car doesn't look like that at all, and hardly even spins the tires.

    One of those (top) is a 2.8L 24v VR6 while the other one is a 2.8L 12v VR6 turbo. The top is just missing the cover.
