Yea, its a good thread, but from what i recall from just reading it, he said he MAYBE getting one. So i wouldnt put to much stock in him getting one since he said maybe.

Well but when you read down further he has already gotten a quote on the kit, has power goals for it, is comparing prices with another dealer and even asking for one to include shipping to lawrenceville Ga. So it seems like he was pretty serious. But anyway I was just helping out with your questions about what a C38 was.
Well thanx for letting me know. Oh and btw, before i did my d series turbo build, I've personally gotten many price quotes from places cause i wasnt sure what i was gonna do or what i was gonna buy, so i was just "fishing" so to say, but that doesnt mean that i was getting that particular product. So maybe that guy is just fishing.
Dunno. But I never said anyone was getting a C38 I just posted what I thought was a highly relevant link to your post. :)

If trying to look stupid is your goal, you succeed....
Never once did I make mention of knowing it all... that is all in your perception of who I am.
I am in fact, an extremely laid back person :) I just prefer that you refer to me as who I really am... EJohnson will suffice :)
the 253 hp motor is in my dads dailey driver which has been raced beaten on and ddriven dailey for over year now it is not a race car more of a grocery getter built out of stuff laying around the shop .As for the race car i have which will still be driven on the street and the build going in it is a whole different story . Im glad you have a nice build coming your gonna need it and yes it is a h well kinda lol atleast part of it.
That's pretty cool and I like people who understand the whole reliability factor. I've seen too many guys blowing up their B18s every 10 months then talking about how expensive K swaps are when they could have had a stock K swap for the price of all the Bs they've blown up. Anyway that is more of a rant but I'm curious about what you're putting together because I'm sure it'll be nice and fast.
One of my favorite H vs. K stories was on my bday 3 years ago... Kizdaway (Luis) picked me up from a restaurant after I had a couple of margaritas, we hop on 985 south and here comes a random hatch rolling up next to us. The guy lines up, both downshift into 3rd around 60 and take off. Luis pulls but not much, maybe a carlength 60-100. then they roll up next to us and the passenger shouts out the window "IS THAT A K20?!?"
they either knew by the sound or because what else would be N/A and pulling on their H swap? either way it was awesome ;)
good story i like it and if he had a h he new it had to be a k if you pulled on him. I like ks ive just always been a h man and i have tons of that stuff so it is easier for me to build thats all. A motor is a motor just a air pump . The ability for the k to turn more rpms reliably will out peform a h if they were built the same key word if they were built the same. Im shooting for 300 and im actualy building two motors right now that should at least hit 285 we will see but they will not be turning your rpms thats were gearing comes to play which is why i have 3 different b series tranys tore apart to build one. one of these motors will be in a ek hatch the other in a eg only difference between the 2 is im running a bigger bore cause my customer is running maul pistons.
lol your probably right about 800 dollars worth of shit selling on ebay right now.I finaly got around to putting some stuff up for sell ,i couldnt sleep the other night.
I still got that the wing if you need it.
