M6's are very fast. I think they have 550bhp stock. Our friend has one with basically the same mods minus the headers, and pulled ahead of Rick just a little bit. Rick was within about a car and a half of me stock, from 60 - 140. The Z falls on its face at 160 (5th gear), but the pull up until then was about what I'd expect. Of course the guy shifting in the Z06 was terrible, but I'd imagine a bolt on M6 is gonna hang with a Z pretty good.

Yeah M6's are quick for what they are. I think over on M6 board they have them trapping as high as 121 stock (on the factory 19" tires). In my eye's that car is the best of both worlds. If you've ever been in one they are so incredibly sporty and luxurious at the same time.. while giving out one of the sweetest sounds i've ever heard. You can take clients out in it or beat an early model Gallardo from a roll.

Would've been interesting to see how it would've done mod for mod. Those same mods on a C6Z is about an extra 50rwhp.

95-115k depending on equipment!!! you know the m5 i drove still tops my list as the best car i've ever driven! love z's but it's just a diff class. now, with that being said. the 200k amg benz down at soundproof the other day was absolutely incredible!!!! over 700 bhp with a warranty and the seat bolsters inflate in corners to keep you in your seat!!!!! only got to ride in it though.

Up to the 160 range it was a shifting game for that Z to hang and that guy cant shift for crap. There was a good second delay b/t the first shift when the guy is rolling up the window.

I am very impressed how hard that thing pulls above 150/160....DAMN! But in GA not really many places for those kinds of speeds so no worries for me.


Have him come on to GA........I'll give him a 60-150 run and I might do it without the bottle. No need to waste some nice cold nitrous when I dont need to.:idb:

I wanted my wife to get a 2003 M5 before we got our Lexus but she didn't go for it. I love the cars for the comfort and looks they offer. I can't see myself needing to go over 150mph too many times in my life so I'll enjoy my Z06 for now, lol. When/If Atlanta ever gets an autobahn-type interstate, I may have a change of heart, lol.
