i'd put this in the life style but i don't think i'd get as big of a response...

i just bought a 17 cal. rifle w/a 4-10 barrel as well.. (it's like a youth sized gun but still packs puch..) it's about the size of a "chipmunk" the youth sized 22 long rifle that a lot of kids grew up using...

anyways, i want to put a scope on this thing... it's got high velocity bullets(17 cal.) with a scope i could get a clean 3-400 yard shot.

where to look?????

and also, anyone one know where i can pop a few rounds off?? i'd like to take this thing to a range, but i know of non in the area... (i'm in marietta)

I'm not sure if its still there, but there was an indoor range on the corner of Canton HWY and Piedmont rd.

I dont know of any rifle ranges that are long enough for what you speak of, but I know there is one up in blue ridge area that has 100yrd, 200yrd, 400yrd, 800yrd, and a 1000yrd range. I cant remember the name of it to save my life though...

i dont think you'll be able to be accurate at 3-400 yrds with only a .17 cal...........you need a .22-250 for that kind of distance

I dunno if anyone has said this or not but I would get a sweet 17 scope. My friend used to work at an outdoors store and I was wantin to get a .17 HMR to play around with and he said that is the best scope for one.

the bullets are lighter then a 22.... , the shells are bigger... it'll make it.. they are high velocity as well...

mine is not a bb gun.. these are actual bullets.

now i'd need a dang good scope.. but i think it'd make atleast 300...

randomguy... what bullets are u talkin about? like i said i can change the barrel on the gun and slap a 4-10 shotgun sell in it, buck shot or slug!...

i don't know much about scopes... is it the lower the numbers the better, or the higher... the prices jump around to much to tell..

like 3x12 or 6x18 ???
