i picked up a 90 civic dx hatch last week and been out of the scene for a while. I have been looking for some info and would like to see what advice and/or ideas i could get from you guys and see what i can do with this car. has D15 in it like i said it is a dx model and do not know what ecu is in it but looking at that tomorrow. is a manual, know i need to mention that. so just looking for ideas and advice about considerations on what to do with my newly acquired toy.

b20 swap, i/h/e high flow-cat and a tune. then later on save up and get a better swap like a gsr or go b20/vtec. i dot think u should waste any money on the d series. GL

yeah i hear ya! lol did v.c. gasket and such with it today, noticed the front mount broken and not bolted up so its a new one there. dont really want to screw around with this engine thats in it, looked it up today and a measley 92 hp? ha ha not for me i need more!!! thinking B18 or B20 just seems more practical and not over doing it. but i can feel myself missing that extra cam at the least!

i have a 95 b18 motor you can buy then just find the tranny and axles and linkage and mounts and you have a quick a$$ hatch

now if i decide to go with a vtec is the nightmare going to lay in the wiring? this is a dx not si and i am sure i will have to upgrade some wiring but is the entire harness gonna have to be swapped too?

of course, but changing to a vtec motor, u'd need a whole new ecu and the motor will probably come with a harness as well. not that hard.
