its a red 4 door automatic with 83k miles. the lady just bought a new jetta and knows nothing about cars.. well i know nothing about vw's and she took it to vw and got a diagnostic done on it and it needs a coil which they told her was $300. the inside and out are clean.. she only wants $1100 for the car.. is it worth it? i have seen alotof the mk3's lowered with a clean set of wheels and they look nice. if i were to purchase the car it would stay stock as far as performance issues just to be a cheap daily.. let me know what you think and things i should look for "for repair issues" that is.. thanks

the only bad thing is that its an automatic but with only 83k miles its a steal for $1100 so if you decide not to take it, I GOT DIBS!! just pm me her number

for first mods do coilovers, catback (tt borla), intake, and a chip. after that you will have a great DD. especially since the glx is the vr6

i used to have a 97 jetta vr6 pretty much stock and loved it.

Lol, if you decide you don't want the car, I'll take it off your hands. I could always use one more VW to join the 5 that are already in my driveway. :D

For 1100 I would buy it. A coil is an easy fix. Still get 20-25mpg
