Me and my g/f want to get away for the weekend and are having trouble deciding on a place to go to. We want somethign fun yet relaxing, and also dont want to drive anymore than 3-5 hours one way. We plan on going from the 24-26th. Would go this weekend but its tunerfest :)

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

If you've never been to Callaway Gardens it is a nice place for a short vacation close to home. There's not a lot in the way of provided entertainment, but if relaxation is the goal it's a great place. The golf is excellent as well as the fishing. You can rent a bike or take your own and there are tons of trails and paths to wander with some extraordinary flora and fawna. I would definately check into it, they have a website with more info.

rent a cabin in Helen, GA!

- easy drive
- beautiful town and scenery
- budget friendly

p.s. Make sure you get one with a hot tub on the deck that over looks the mountains :)

Those are awesome. We had one right next to a creek with the hot tub.

That's better in the winter. Sucks in the summer. Later, QD.

I think weve decided on Gulf Shores. We thought about a cabin but i live in dahlonega so its not really "getting away".
