SOLD!!
1993 VW Passat GLX - GLX is the top of the line for the Passat
Chassis:
-143,000 miles
Motor:
-2.8 Liter VR6 engine - stock, no mods.
-Automatic tranny
Body:
-Maroon color
-paint is great all the way around except the hood has two oxidation spots and there is a couple dents and scratches which is normal wear and tear.
Wheels, Tires, Suspension:
-almost new tires
-stock BBS rims
-stock suspension - it handles great for a big car
Interior:
-new Sony CD player. mp3,XM satellite radio, all the goodies...
-factory black interior - no cracking, fading, rips, tears....in great condition!
-seats are black cloth and are also in great condition, still very supportive
-A/C and heat work fantastically!
Flaws:
-the fuse block is going bad, so eventually, you'll need to replace it. I got a quote from Kam's Auto in Acworth and it'll be $170 to fix it. If this is the only thing keeping you from buying this car then hell, i'll get it fixed!
-very, very, very, VERY slight oil leak from the oil cooler lines. the gaskets simply need to be replaced. i can get the gaskets for less than $5 for both of them.
-The sunroof doesn't open. So it's basically a moonroof.
New stuff:
-recent oil change with synthetic 1040. the previous owner used that syn. too.
-new fuel pump relay.
-new fuel filter
-recent fuel system cleaning;not the kind you buy in a bottle at AutoZone. the kind you take to a shop to have it professionally done.
-like i said earlier, new tires, new CD player, etc etc
This is a very reliable car! Great for commuting. Get's excellent gas mileage (24-36mpg) Last time I took it for a road trip, which was all the way to Florida, it got 36mpg! The previous owner was a mechanic and I do a little work on cars so you know it has been very well maintained.
Kelley Blue Book value is $4605. But I'm only asking $2800 OBO!! gimme a call if you're interested: 770-429-8242
As soon as I figure out how to post some pics of it, I'll do so.
