bending a rim

I always see people who have rims with bent lips, bent on the inside, cracks, ect.

how hard do you actually have to hit something to do that kind of damage? because i've had a few sets of rims with some pretty low profile tires and i've hit a few potholes but i've never damaged a rim

how the hell do i always see rims bent so bad at the lip and they just say they hit a pothole :???:

the reason i ask is because the guy who bought my civic came up to my work saturday with a donut and the rim was in the trunk with a big ass crack and bent lip and i was ROUGH on those rims and never did that kind of damage

I bent a rim when I hit a pothole. It was about a 2/3 foot deep. I was going a little too fast and I couldn't dodge it or I would have slammed into the car next to me. So i Slammed on the brakes. Thinking back to it, I should have kept going the same speed, Maybe I would have just flown over it.

Its because some people don't pay much attention to the road or they don't care if they hit the pothole. If you never avoid bad spots in the road, its just going to gradually weaken the wheel and its going to break eventually.

It's real easy to bend a wheel if you hit a pothole or curb. if it wasn't I would be in the unemployment line.

I bent the front right lip on my rims because I accidentally ran over the turn lane circular ground markers.

I NEED TO GET IT FIXED!!! where can I get it fixed, how long does it take (its my daily driver), and how much does it cost?

The only scratches I have on my rims are on the right front, i hit a little pot hole but it happened to be the outer edge so it caught the lip. Pissed me off, it's not too noticable but it could have been a lot worse.

most times you curb or bend a rim...its probally not gonna be able 2 get fixed ..gonna end up replacing it

DAMN! I ran over some of those little circle white road markers and it put three bumps in the silver lip part. I HOPE THEY CAN FIX IT!!!
