Ok as we all know the weather is about to start getting pretty cold, since we are having such a mild winter, it will be hittin hard soon. With that in mind, I will be talking to another member about setting up a BBQ one Saturday in March. Hopefully by then the weather will have warmed up a bit and be tolerable.

LAKE ALLATOONA March 17 (3rd Saturday) 1:00 PM - Whenever
This is the date we have decided. So now lets see how many will show up.

This is plenty of advance notice to get the ball rolling. So if this interest any Prelude / Accord members, drop your name here and lets start getting a head count.

Ok here is the deal, Geoff (Blank_CD) Has gracioulsy reserved a covered spot at the lake for the day. This was not cheap. He was kind enough to pay some serious $$$ to get the spot reserved, now with that in mind.....
If you are not bringing anything to the BBQ show some courtesy and help cover the cost of BBQ spot and the food that others are bringing as well. I am sure that if everyone could chip in $3-5 a head, that will cover most everything. I am sure that it would not be fair to leave those people footing the bill for everyone else good time.

OK here is one suggestion, McCurry Park in Fayetteville, Ga, I have no idea where that is, other than down on the Southside. Lie I said that is one idea. We are open to any others at this time.

So post up some spots that will be easy to find and big enough for the cars. We have plenty of time to get this set up. I think for the next couple of weeks we can decide on a spot. After that we can decide who will bring what (drinks, food, etc etc etc).

Lake Allatoona sound pretty good. I am not sure how many people would want to drive that far north for a BBQ though.

So we have one place that is in Fayetteveiile and one place at Allatoona. If there is a place more centralized, such as East Roswell Park. We need to find it soon. Or if we want to vote between one of these three locations, that would be fine.

I am pretty sure we will be there for a few hours. I think that once everyone gets some food in them, there might be some discussion about what to do after the BBQ. I am sure we could go meet somewhere else, make a cruise to NP, or The V. This part has not been brought up.

But I am pretty sure that staying at a BBQ for 8 hours is unlikely.

If anyone has any ideas for after the BBQ (later in the day) feel free to post up or PM me. I will make sure that it gets proper consideration.

As he said, I reserved a sheltered area on the lake for the whole day so IN THE EVENT (knock on wood) of rain or anything, we still gotta place to chill and eat. theres grills there and a boat dock if anyone is so inclined to bring a boat instead of their ride. Really looks like its gonna be a good turn out and I hope to see everyone plus more there!

Yes 40 or 50 if you are comming from the Southside of 285, but I am pretty sure it is less than that from the Northside.

There will be some people meeting at BP on Barrett (exit 269 for those that don't know) to drive up to exit 290. I will be comming down from Exit 348, so that shows how far I have to ride to get there.

So enough with the whining about the travel. The weather is supposed to be decent, and we will all have a great time.

Those are some awesome pic, perfect day for photos, temp was a weee bit on the cool side, but all in all it was a pretty good turn out.

I would like to say thanks to everyone the showed up and brought stuff. Very much appreciated. I hope that everyone had a good time, even though it was a bit chilled out there. Thank god for lighter fluid and JDM STICKS and LEAVES.

The diet coke fire crackers were a great hit as well. Now I have found a proper use for that nasty crap. Diet Coke FTW !

For those that did not show up, well you missed a good time. I will probably plan another BBQ (same location) in the warmer months. The location was perfect, lots of room HUGE GRILL, and lots of parking. Definatly worth another meet.
