I posted this in the audio section, but I need a quick response so i'm posting it in here. Please don't move this right away MODS :D

I was wondering if any manufacturer made a headunit that had a USB port or Memory Card slot. I don't have or like CD's, so I wanna put my music like on an external drive and be able to load it up onto the headunit. I think I heard something about being able to load the music onto the headunit itself. Anyone know what company makes this and how much?

I bought this a few weeks back and absolutely love it......easily flip through the albums and such of my knockoff nano with the H/U or remote control....I've also plugged in my USB memory stick and it worked the same.......

JVC (http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?productId=PRD3201100&pathId=54) KD-G720

caught it on sale for $152

some of Alpine's units have an option to add an adapter for Ipods that runs $29.99 at Crutchfield......I considered those, but I wanted something I could just plug in the front and via USB since my Nano is a knockoff (doesn't have the standard Ipod Port). I'm a fan of JVC, the brand of my very first CD Receiver purchased back in '96 and have owned 2 others in addition to that in the past 10 years.I haven't had a problem with a single one just upgraded every so often to keep up with newer technology & features.

quite a few of the CDA line are Ipod Ready, just require the adapter.
CDA-9856, 9852, 9881, 9820, 9857 & etc.
