Got pulled over

So yeah I just got home from getting out of Gwinnett Jail and I was charged with "racing". But check this out... The asshole cop who pulled me and my friends over told us to get out and handcuffed us and put us in the car. NEVER did he read us our rights... the ticket he wrote he never let me signed it... and on the ticket the only thing written down as violation was "racing" no detector no nothing...

So i just got bailed out and court date is coming up.. do I have a chance of fighting it? and getting off with something more simplier or nothign at all?

the same thing happened to me....he put racing down on the ticket....but when they told me my charges, it said too fast for conditions. idk

cause hommie, racing is a 4 point offense in the state of ga. with all the other shit that goes along with "racing", most of which are 4 point offenses, if your under 21 the state is gonna cook your shit. i think its a 1yr suspension and a big ass fine.

Henry, being 21 or older can mean the difference between keeping your licence or not. Wether how much your at fault, you should always get a lawyer because the system is only there to make money - not fuck you over. Thats America for ya buddy!

i plead nolo to a racing ticket a long time ago and luckily the guy i got pulled over by had been issuing "bullshit" tickets and got fired right before my court hearing.. the judge told me that since i was not racing anyone it was a competition of speed by myself and lowered the charge to speeding .. i paid a 400 ticket and did a defensive driving course! I got lucky.. maybe you will!

nah, he was just doing his job. This can happen everytime u race, u race openly u are going to get caught 1 day.

He doesn't have to read you your rights. Only a few violations actually require it.

And not singing the ticket means nothing either.

I would suggest you plead NOLO and pray the judge accepts it, especially if you are under 21.

And you shouldn't be mad at the cop for doing his job, take responcibility for your own actions.

when they paid the bond when you got of jail that was the ticket if the cop car was in a uniform car at the time you guys got pulled over and he also gave you guys a speeding ticket then your pretty much screwed
the day before christmas eve some dumb asses in a quad cab F-150 with no sing of them being police man follow me to my house with no lights i parked and before i know it they accussed me of racing a mini van and in my front lawn they cuffed me up charged me with a speeding ticket a took me to jail my bond was 430.00 and i spent 5 hours in gwinnett county holding cell

i was at a red light and a friend of mine pulled up and wanted to hear my new exhaust and i reved up and went on, two miles down the road we both got pulled over and he said we were racing, i got out of mine because he said he had us on tape taking off and when we went to court i asked to see the tape and they droped it on the spot. the judge said just because he's a cop dont mean he's right. so ask for proof like a tape and good luck.

Then he would go after you and could charge you with eluding. I have seen one pull over 4 cars once. I was the one in front (we were heading to panama city), and I pulled way up so he would have a long ways to walk.:lmfao:

but i didnt get speeding they put it down as "racing"

shit it got me out of mine, i was not racing but the cop said i was and that was enough. i agree with cops doing there job but when they want to be dicks about what your car looks like or sounds like then fuck em. they get pissed because they drive a piece of shit and you dont. so good luck and let us know how it turns out. oh and get your story straight with the other guy lol.

Either way you are going to pay, with a lawyer you have better chances of keeping your license if you are under 21, without a lawyer you are still gonna pay big money and will probably get really fucked over.
So when you do get a lawyer, and he really lowers the fine or completely take the charges off, you will end up losing about the same amount of money.
Street racing is dumb, all that money you are going to spend now could have gone into your car...
