I purchased some srp pistons from him a little while back, he said there were only a few nicks on the tops so i said ok no problem, i asked him if they would affect the performance of it and he sayed no they will be fine, so the same night i paypal him the money and i get the pistons a little over a week later and the pistons are trash, it looks like someone threw them around or dragged them across the ground. I pm him and he tells me they were his friends so he says that his friend will email me soon (like a month ago) Anyways havent heard from him and jdmbeau doesnt like to return pms. Also, we met at the varsity to sell him some parts and i brought the pistons and he said he never really looked at the pistons, he said he only looked at one for his friend and he told him they were ok , but i showed them to him at the varsity and he said himself that the pistons weren't usable. Only thing i want is to get my money back and i will happily return the pistons but im not hearing anything from JDMBEAU and his so called "friend". Just want a refund!!

The way i see it is if you were so concerned with getting your money back, then you would have filed a paypal report from day 1 to get your money back, reguardless of what someone says. i talked to you at the V when i bought the bumper, i told my friend NUMEROUS times the pistons were bad.

really i dont care about the money. the guy paid 150, im just moving parts for a friend helping him out cause he has had a rough build. he did not ask to see pics before he agreed to purchase. i fail to see where i am in the wrong.

Ultimately it is my responsibilty if only to maintain my rep. in how I deal with things. I have not always been good at this myself, but it has been a lesson learned for me and I am passing it on. Did Beau say "I just posted this for my friend to help him gain interest. I can't vouch for the parts like you asked because I haven't seen them, but here's his number. Call him and he can tell you the condition and where to send the money. I'd rather you deal directly with him"? Or did he say "yea they are a little scuffed but usable. Don't worry about it. They are fine. Just send the money here"? Those 2 conversations are "apples and oranges". I agree that vtec may have been naieve (sp) and that is his fault. Sorry beau, you SOLD for a friend and said the pistons were "usable". thats the determining factor.

If i make a FS thread, and say "GSR MOTOR FOR SALE, SELLING FOR A FRIEND" and someone comes to my shop, asks if its ok and i say "to my knowledge it is" and they buy it. If they install it, an it rod knocks on start up, i should be liable, because i passed it off as ok.

Just like Taylor, he sold a Head with 404 CROWER CAMS. His FRIEND told him it had 404s, IT DID NOT. Taylor didnt know what he was selling passed it off as 404 cams, the buyer new more than him an his buddy and called them out on it. TAYLOR WAS LIABLE.

Best thing i can say is this:

JDMBEAU, DO NOT SELL FOR OTHER PEOPLE UNLESS YOU CAN VOUCH FOR WHAT YOU ARE SELLING AND YOU CAN AFFORD TO PAY UP IF YOUR BUDDY LEAVES YOU BLWOING IN THE WIND. I sell for customers all the time. IF I CANNOT VOUCH FOR THE PRODUCT, say it is in EXCELLENT SHAPE, I DONT SELL IT. or i sell it for pennies on the dollar saying "I DONT KNOW THE CONDITION."

VTECACE, LEARN what you are PURCHASING before you buy it. If your going to buy USED Pistons, you should know WHAT to look for when buying them. Also, i suggest ALWAYS dealing with the Buyer face to face. NEVER deal with a "friend" talk to the person actually selling the item.

IMO you both are wrong, beau for selling an item he cant vouch for, and vtecace for not knowing what he was buying.

ya but that was because you bought parts and got screwed over, you wernt selling the head for someone else, and you also received the money for it


like i stated if the money was sent to my paypal, and then i gave it to my friend, i would be more than happy to give the money back, but since the money was never even sent to me, i dont feel as it should be my responsibility to give it back.
