Kate picked up this album and i was awful surprised b/c most cross over musicians fucking suck (movie/tv stars, sports stars, etc who become musicians), but Jared Leto isn't half bad... its pretty good alternative music kinda like The Used, Finch, etc.

I really like their first album a lot. It wasn't as popular as their current album but I think it's better. On the first album sometimes Jared Leto tries a little too hard to sound like Maynard James Keenan. But the thing is he actually can sing like Maynard.

the first cd is wayyy better....the second is pretty good but they went toward the mainstream stage....the first one is a lil more on the darkside...esp a track called "Buddah for Mary"

They're alright, kind of a chick band though. I guess if you're listening with your wife it's alright but I cant picture a bunch of guys sitting around and listening to it. Have you heard Alexisonfire? They've got a pretty similar sound but a lot heavier overall.

Leto has done a good job of keeping the band and his hollywood image separate so I've at least got a lot of respect for them.
