with those packages i'm guessing your going to cingular? It worth it based on your habits. If your very e-mail oriented or Address Book and calendar familiar, then maybe it is for you. But if your only using it to call people, and bling factor get a SLVR L7. Thats what I have and I'm very satisfied. I might be selling mine soon though cuz I'm upgrading to a Blackjack

Halfwit

i was liking the motorola 8525

http://www.cingular.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?q_list=true&q_phoneName=Cingular+8525&q_sku=sku310005

im very AIM, oriented, but would mostly use it to check ia messages, as i get alot....

so mostly= aim + ia..

casue i can aim ect through my second job to make it go by quicker, and that is priceless.

Halfwit

and yes, cingular.

The Ninja
12-26-2006, 07:53 AM
Well....If you have the chedda for it you could drop the money on the a pda phone, or hold out and wait for the Q on cingular and get that.

Halfwit
12-26-2006, 07:55 AM
what is the q? link please? didnt see it on there site..????

Halfwit
12-26-2006, 07:56 AM
and the 8525 is 399, but others are only 199.

and it would only make it around 90$ a month to have 3000 texts, and internet, and 450 rollover ect.

Halfwit
12-26-2006, 07:58 AM

the 8525 is BADASS, you might wanna go with that, the Q will not be out for cingular for quite a while, if ever. its strictly verizon right now, theres not even a gsm version available on the internet from europe or anything, and that will come before its ever released by a major carrier

but as far as PDA phones from cingular, the 8525 is the best, the nokia e61 is pretty nice too. ive never been a fan of pda/smart phones because every one ive had has had glitches and major fuckups, just comes with the territory of having a small computer lol. the treo, sidekick 3, mda (which is the previous version of 8525) have all fucked up on me

^^ HAAHHAAHAH oh shit... Good ass throw-back.

Thanks for the info.

Those 5mb 10mb and 100mb packages are for the MEdia net tools. (surfing the web and what not). Its the way cingular cashes in on you. When you surf the net on your phone you have to download the pages temporarily, thus the pages are "downloaded" info and slowly detracts from the MB packages (5MB, 10MB, 100MB, etc.). I have the 10MB package, but I pay for the 5MB package. I've been with cingular for some years now. My first phone was through them, and I'll probably stay with them I have 1000 anytime and rollover and 200txt msgs, and I pay about $50 for this. (I have all the usual 3+way calling, conference calls, etc.) I'd suggest getting the 10MB package simply because its not much more than the 5mb but not as hefty as the 100mb. I doubt you'll ever use 100mb in surfing the net. I surf it occasionally (check scores and games and what not) and I barely exceed 3-4MB a month.

i believe there are seperate plans for web and aim, i was talking about text and pic messaging

The Ninja

Aim is a seperate service. They charge you per aim message unless you subscribe, which is an extra $10-$15 a month I think. I don't use it, if they have AIM they most likely have a phone, just use txt.

Dont waste your time unless you have : you own a business, you have a busy life that require a electronic device to remind you, Helpfull with your job, check email on a regular basis due to business......YOU DONT NEED IT.

Seriously man.... Dont waste your money. The only reason I have a PDA PHONE is because the emails I get through IA, some may require a response ASAP..... and just because there somedays I will not touch a PC at all.
Dont get it for a bling factor.. thats lame... I laugh when I see cats with a $500.00 phone but are on IA looking for a job or work for 8 bucks an hour.. sad.
