Hey i'm starting a club that will be centered in the Cobb County Area but is open to anyone in in the Greater Atlanta Area or surrounding counties

Please don't take this as a diss to you. I can almost guarantee that this will not last. A club featuring only one type of car brand never does. Another member of this site, Brett, tried it with Honda Civics a few years ago. Now if a club consisting of only Civic can't make it, then I don't know of any others that could. Lolol. If it works, kudos. But I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't. Later, QD.

It makes perfect sense. I was using the Civic as an example of a tried, but failed effort to make a club of one type/brand car. To keep a club limited to a certain type of car is very restricting and I know that lots of people on IA aren't really into that. Trust me, you're not the first to come here and advertise this idea. No one, besides Brett, has ever even gotten it off the ground. Again, good luck. Later, QD.

The main point is that for a club to stick together for any length of time it needs a stronger bond than owning the same type of car/brand/model. Succesful clubs are friends first. Don't know anyone? Then get on the boards, talk to people at shows, hit up some meets, etc. Good luck.

the point would be to learn from each other's cars so we can make them better and to share a common love for a certain make of cars...

that would be why you have a car club, that plus racing if you're really into it

not trying to sound negative here, but the main reason you start a club is to find people who share the same love for cars, even better if its the same type of cars as you do, you don't go looking for your best friend at a car meet
