You sure you didnt just fiberglass over the lights and paint them? Looks good though.

there is still the 3rd brakelight. So long as that is visible, tinted tails are not an excuse to rearend someone.

thats probably because he did jsut paint over them.

its the right way to do it, im sure the tails were wetsanded and then just had a mixture of clear/black sprayed on to it.

I hate your car so much...


The volvo speed car is getting the EVO tranny and drivetrain. Since Dan and Tracy know your car and have "tinkered" a time or two with the evo... do they know what it would take (aka how much $$$) to make this happen? My drive train is taking the extra power like a champ so far but I think it may just be a matter of time.

I have had mine tinted for close to 3 years now and have never been pulled over.

For those who want theirs done, check out www.tintedtails.com he can do any shade of black as well as color matched tinting to any paint code out there :goodjob:

I am going to wait to see it in person before I say anything. The work quality looks great. I just don't know if the car's lines are going to be affected. Fully blacked out cars sometimes just look like a black blob without any definition/curves. Cant' wait to see how it all turns out Mikey.

No they won't. I "tinted" (blacked out but could still see brake lights) my brothers tail lights. When he got rear ended, they didn't hold him at fault.

And he never got a ticket for them either.

To the niteshades comment. No, niteshades look like crap and don't last. lol


But your tails look great man. Congrats.

MAYBE if he wanted them black, these are body matched. The Volvo "black" he has isnt black in all lights, sometimes its grayish, sometimes bluish. Night shades would have been black all the time, where as these will go with whatever the rest of the car looks like in the given light :goodjob:

LOLLERS, Nightshades is a paint by VHT. You could put it on anything from a Yugo to a Ferrari 360 Challange.

well the main reason I didnt use any of that kinda of stuff is my car is a stock color but it is black with a blueish pearl in the paint, so the tailights are exact color matched to that body color.

that is a really nice car, what r u pushing?before I blew the motor it made 323.36 WHP 376.57 WTQ. I am doing a full motor build Gt35R turbo and lots of other goodies right now I am hopping for around 550-600whp when it is done this time.
