My New Setup- GT Dorm Hooked Up

I figured it would amuse IA to see just how shitty Georgia Tech dorms are. Here is some pictures of my dorm at Georgia Tech. It is the biggest dorm on east campus, suprisingly, so think how bad every other dorm is.


I have put a lot of stuff into our room. Here is a list of what I have: futon, 1000 watt phillips surround sound, old school tv, vcr, playstation 2, 5.1 surround sound receiver (used as a stereo), phone, microwave, and a printer. Yes some of those things are insignificant, but when your roomate doesn't bring any of them it makes a difference.

I have been down here the past few days and have put in a futon as well as surround sound. I figured I would stay down here and then go to the varsity tonight.

As you can see the other room in our quad is horrificly dirty. It's because a big ogre(sp?) lives in there. He is 6'3 250 and he smells horrible. He only does laundry if he has used all of his clothes. As you can see he has a ton of shit. He didn't even bother taking it home for Christmas to get it washed. What a bum. His roomate is a neat freak and a cool guy though. Then my roomate is a douche. He loves himself and doesn't bring a damn thing to the room.

personally i like the dorms, most all of my friends live either on my floor, the floor below me, or are 100 feet across the street. It's nice when everyone has their doors open and you can just hangout with everyone

How much do they charge you guys for the dorms @ Tech? Its like $350/month just to share a tiny little room at KSU.

One day we bagged up all his laundry into big black garbage bags in hopes that he would just take them to the laundry place that's only about 100 yards away. Well they stayed in bags for around 2-3 weeks. I hoped he would take them home. I got here yesterday to discover he had ripped the garbage bags up and just put his clothes all over his bed.

Man the disgusting room is how mine looked when I was living on campus but then again I didnt have a roommate and was pretty much living off campus with my gf at the time. I was there long enough to hang out between classes.

Please say that you're moving off campus after next semester.

Half off of housing costs is a nice deal for PLs. I dont think it actually pays money you just get a 50% discount and priority housing.

I am pretty sure it's free housing, but you have to live in freshman dorms. And if I get free housing or even a discount, my parents will give me all the money they would be paying. So it would definately be worth it for me.
