i did a boost leak test tonight...holy shit!!!! :eek:

i had boost leaks every where and didnt even know about them. my car holds 2psi more at redline and pulls sooo much stronger midrange...if u have'nt done a boost leak test on ur car u need to...it took like one hour at most cause i had ALOT of leaks to fix and used atleast 10 zipties fixing everything.

all SRT4 owners i'm telling u....

DO A MUTHER FUCKIN BOOST LEAK TEST!!!!!!11

How high did you leak test up to?

I have always recommend that people do leak test. Every oil change I make sure I do a leak test. Right now my car is boost leak tested up to 25psi. Once you get passed about 15psi you find that your stock TB will leak bad.

Something else to consider also, do you have a check valve installed on the car? If not your stock pcv valve will leak under almost 3-5psi and stays open. The check valve will allow you stop that leak.

I can promise you that you will have leaks. I have done so many of them and I have yet to find one person without any leaks. One way to know if you have leaks is if you have boost creep.

The stock TB will leak. There is nothing you can do about it unless you replace it with an aftermarket TB. I got the Kinetic 60mm TB. It's very nice an does not leak at all.

i just have a friend sit in the car till the gauge gets to 20 psi...then while its falling down listen for boost leaks/squirt water and soap around the hot spots...

Yeah I've come to learn that black zip ties are my new best friends. One day I took some minor accessories off the car and started zip tied every vacuum line that I saw.

I know I have leaks, My gauge flutters like crazy between 17-15 psi. Especially with the car having 60K miles on it! I guess when I get the money I'll get a boost leak tester, I just need an air compressor...

I actually made mine myself. Just went to Lowes and got all the stuff in the plumbing section. Maybe around $15 in all.
