Cingular Launches MySpace Mobile Client
Monday, 1:34 PM source: Cingular
Cingular today announced a downloadable Java client that will allow its subscribers to access MySpace. The client provides access to a number of MySpace's social networking features from the handset. Users can upload photos, read and write mail, check up on their friends, as well as update and catch up on blogs. The mobile service will cost $3 per month and is available for most newer Cingular handsets. Helio offers access to these same features through a web interface for free on all its handsets. It is reportedly working on a similar downloadable client due out early next year. Cingular also offers MySpace alerts to all subscribers, which text a user whenever they have received a new message, comment or invitation.
