12-21-2006, 01:14 AM
haha yea that would have been a better choice, but hey, i was doing the conversion to get more power and because i had always wanted to drive a stick, so it worked out. yea, it did beat my car up a little but whatever, ive learned how to drive the car pretty damn well on my own so now that i drive it all the time and its not broken down for months, i can really practice.

ive got an alarm, but posting what alarm it is and details on other swecurity measures i may or may not have taken ;) to secure the car would be pointless, especially on a local board lol. but yes, the car is well protected thanks.

Good deal homey. I know people that can steal the ALARM off of a car and give it to you - LOL. But at least you take the initiative. +1

retroshark
12-21-2006, 02:56 PM
oh yea, through installing my own alarm i know how to steal a car and disable the alarm pretty fast. it would take me 2 minutes tops to disable my alarm, start the car and drive off, so i know its not much, its more to alert me since it is a paging sysytem.

12-25-2006, 02:43 PM
well guys, i jsut finnished what i would say is my first real car show point earner lol, i got busy with a multitude of different grit sand paper and began to polish th ehell out of the crap in the bay. so far, ive hit the bov 9 i bought it used and it was scuffed to hell) the manifold, the dump tube, the catch can, the wastegate and the turbo. the turbo took nearly 3 days to do and it looks badass. also painted the valve cover. but anway, ill get pictures of that later or tomorrow, im still making modifications to the air filter for my catch can line, since i deleted the long section of piping since it looked stupid.

12-26-2006, 02:21 PM
if you pay, ill get you what you need. now that ive learned a lot from doing mine, id be open to install one on someone elses. but i still always recomend starting off with a pre-made kit, since theres really no way you can go wrong or forget to get something, and theres no issues with parts not fitting right (providing you get a good kit)

i had a lot of issues with things like the manifold arriving and not being decked, problems with initial exhaust setup, so theres a lot to keep in mind.

hey man, have you documented the tranny swap anywhere online?

im mostly interested in the pull out of it. i mihgt have to replace an accord 4cyl tranny (auto) pretty soon. care to help?

retroshark
12-27-2006, 12:22 AM
i dont know how much i can help other than guiding you through it, i really live out of state most of the year, but i can tell you, you will most likely have to remove all teh passenger side suspension parts, both acxles, and drop the tranny out the bottom, removing the subframe first. its a ton of work...

Usually people wouldnt run on a turbo setup for this car because there isnt any kit for it... but yuo can customize... just takes a lot of time and money.... but usually not worth it because of the tranny deal...
