Almost lost the Z today...

Ok well just picked my GF up in phenix city and was driving down the street. There was a traffic jam so i went through a backroad I didnt know. well there was a very steep hill and i was going 45 as the speed limit posted. I top the hill go over the other side to find 10 feet of road and then a stop sign where you can either go left or right. Well I go over the hill and by the time I go past the stop sign im still going like 25 and go off the street and through the grass on the other side to almost hit a wall. There was no curb but I was shaking very badly and was having like a nervous breakdown. I love my Z and baby the car like mad. Everyone tells me that im the best driver they know and now I feel like I cant drive shit. So I was having like a nervous break down and got the hell outta there because I was really embarrassed that a shit load of people just saw me hop a curb and slide out into some grass. The thing is i wasnt driving like a mad crazy person just normal driving and going the speed limit. Just made me feel kinda bad that I just bought the car a few months ago and I almost trashed it today. Nothing broke I was just freaking out. Worst part is I had the top down, with the sunglasses on, o and the small fact that my GF was in the car...I had a bad day after this.

Shit happens. Don't think any less of yourself for it. I would have a nervous breakdown as well. You can't react to something like that, it is so unexpected. I think that this will be enough to make you be cautious enough and understand that you can't drive like that on roads unfamiliar to you. Don't sweat it.

i did that in my old lumina once.. except i knew the road!!!! was going about 45-50 on in a 45, and didn't realize i was so close to the stop sign.. it was raining too.. i slammed my brakes and slid all the way the the intersection into some grass, just barely avoiding another sign... it sucked. and i was all shook up as well...
