ok im tired of tryin to figure out whats wrong with my civic. all i kno is it wont start for shit. my question is, can anyone tell me what most shops charge an hour for troubleshooting? need to determine whats wrong with it, and get an estimate of how much its gonna cost to repair it:???: . thanks in advance...

Most shops put the first hour of diag into the price of the repair. If you dont have a shit load of work done to the motor take it to the dealership.

yea mainstream is the answer ive been gettin from alot of ppl.

maybe they could check it out, and gimme an estimate of repair cost...

because if its gonna cost more to repair than to just get a newer motor swapped in,then so be it.

have u checked your dizzy, coil pack the whole ignition setup???? were are u located?

dizzy is brand new. really havent checked it out cuz i dont wanna mess with it w/o pointers. i dont kno shit about the ignition system so i rather leave it to the pros. im located in the Newnan area. probably 30-40 miles south of ATL.

yea when i turn the key, its cranks but WILL NOT turn over. as far as poppin the clutch, i guess i could try it. the main thing i regret is pushin the car to the top of the hill. cuz its parked at the bottom of my driveway, and the driveway is a pretty long incline. i could always request help from a friend who could maybe pull it to the top heh. ill give it a shot but my instincts tell me somethin really wrong with it.

my swap has the same problem and i have had countless people look at it and no luck... my suggestion is to take it to mainstream there work is quality and there very inexpensive compared to most shops and there some of the most honest people around so i guess u can add me with the others who agree with mainstream..

yea just give them a call vteckidd will take care of ya...shit i wouldnt kare of i had to bring my car a hundred miles my car goes nowere but there when it comes down to taking it to another shop
