The only way to get the bolt out is to tap the middle of the bolt and somehow turn the bolt out. But how did it break? Might have totally messed up the threading. Depending on how and why ot broke, I'd say replacing is a better idea.

hey uproot I feel you dude I hit a curb avoiding an accident one time and bent mine to hell. You are correct the red peice you are reffering to is just part of the control arm. it comes as a whole which you can pick up at a salvage yard. I chose to go with honda connection in buford they charged me only $120 for the entire thing. It was quite simple to replace.

I would just replace the entire thing. hope that helps!!!

What year is your civic. I've got two civics sitting behind my shop with good lower arms and I'll sell you the entire thing for $50 if you want it. Just give me a call at 478-744-9500. I'm about to take the cars to the crusher this weekend so I just want to get rid of this stuff.
