Since most people on here are quick as hail to make a post about how all cops suck ass because they got caught doing something they shouldn't be doing, I am making a thread with all the opposites intact.
On the way to work this morning, I stopped at Quik Trip(sorry Julio) on Panola Rd. to get some gas. Well, if you familiar with this QT, you know you can't make a left out of there. As I always do, I did. No sooner than I pulled out, I saw blue lights behind me(twas dark outside so I didn't see him). I(I'm white) pull over and the officer(an African American) comes up and askes for my license and tells me why he pulled me. As I hand him my license, I let him know that I have a gun in the car. He asks where it is and I tell him under my center console and that I have a CCW. He asks to see that also and tells me that he appreciates me telling him this. As I am getting the CCW out, he asks where I work and I tell him. Didn't even look at my license or take the CCW as he tells me to go ahead and get on to work. As he walks away, he thanks me, again, for telling him about the weapon. The whole time, he was nice as hail to me as I was polite and courteous to him. No problems, no tickets, no mess and no I HATE COP topics. Later, QD.

I was in a wreck this morning and have to agree not all cops are bad...The lady (Black) was extremely courteous to me (latina) and to the girl that hit me (white.) She was extrememly proffesional and even though I cried profusely b/c I was scared she was extremely understanding...She gave the ticket to the other driver but only after listening to what the witnesses said. So I agree. Police officers are key tools in our envirnoment. I wish she knew how much I appreciate her and her willingness to take me to the hospital.

I agree, not all cops are bad. The cop that pulled me over for speeding (he pulled me over instead of the guy who was passing me - I was going like 39 in a 45 atm) was one of the most polite people I have ever met. I never said I hated him, just that I was angry that I got pulled over and that I have to go through all this bullshit with a lawyer and all just to keep my license.

I have been pulled over at least 10 times and never had a ticket! Plus a lot of other things involving cops, and never any trouble. MOST cops get my two thumbs up.

I was pulled over a lots of times, one of which I was in my garage when he "pulled me over" :lmfao:. I got a ticket once but it was 3 different tickets I ended up driving away with just speeding. Every single time I was super polite, hands on the steering wheel, inside lights on, and tell him what I about to do (ex. my insurance is in the glove-box...).
They really do treat you pretty much as you treat them, all of the times I was pulled over I was doing something wrong, so I have no coplains agains the police.

FUCK THE COPS MAN. I will be mindin my own damn business goin 15 over or not using my turn signal or not comin to a complete stop at a stop sign and them bastards give me fuckin tickets. What the fuck?
Only time I have been mad at a cop for pullin me over was right after I had bought my integra and didn't have a tag on it and I got pulled over in Chattanooga TN. In GA you don't have to have a tag for thirty days. I had my bill of sale and proof of insurance to show the cop that I had just bought it but he said he didn't know GA laws and that in TN even if you buy from a private party you have to have a tag or somethin sayin that you have applied for a tag. He gave me a ticket that was 98 dollars. I told my mom I wasn't payin it that I was goin to go to court but I had missed to many days in school and they was threatening to kick me out so my mom went ahead and paid it for me.

I have to say of the 4 tickets i have ever gotten...none where with dealing with a dick cop. Though my 3rd ticket was with an VERY VERY cool ass cop. Instead of getting me for an illegal lane change, and not using blinkers, be jsut gave me Tag light being out. So really i dont think i have ever had to deal with a cop thats been an ass. OTher than one cop who kicked us out of the old buford park-n-ride meets. He jsut through our license back at us! :dunno:

Yeah what Pavlo said especially late at night, if you tell them you are getting so and so out of your glove box or wherever they really appreciate it. Stuff like that helps you.

The CCW helps alot too. If you have one, you've been screened, and re-screened... you have nothing to hide....
I've had both good and bad experiences with cops. My last one was pretty good though.
Heading home from work on Hwy 92, I was doing about 55 in a 45. No biggie. Cops don't mind as long as you don't break 60. Either way, I was in the right hand lane with a car next to me that I was slowly passing when this Corolla pulls out in front of me. I could have done one of two things. Slam the brakes and plow into him, or slam the gas and go around him. I chose the latter. Easily doing 62 mph, the cop that was shooting traffic hits his lights and comes pulls me over. He asks me why I was going over the speed limit and tell him what happened. He said he saw the Corolla pull out in front of me, but didn't notice that it was that close. Understanding the predicament, he lets me go and tells me to be careful.

Don't flatter yourself, cuzz. You're a young one here on IA. There have many, many posts about "bad cops" on here before you. It happened yesterday, so I posted it. Later, QD.
