So I flew up to New York last week to pick up my new car.

C6 Z06 brake upgrade
Caravaggio racing seats
HID upgrade
Eclipse CD/DVD/NAV headunit
Escort X5 Passport hard wired in
CCW SP500 wheels 18x10f/19x11.5r

And that's about it...

Here are some quick pics I took. Nothing fancy here.

I'm trying my hardest not to touch it. The buyer for my Integra is flying in this week and it's going to be hard not to touch the Z06 with an extra $16,000.00 taunting me in my bank account.

Nice new car- congratulations! Make sure you acquaint yourself with the power of this car well before you push it hard. As you said yourself, Peaky FWD power is a world away from low end RWD grunt. Looks good. Are you going to leave it as is? If not, what will be your first mod? You probably will find that the mods are much more expensive than they were for your previous car, lol.

Why did you go all the way to New York? Are there not many local ones forsale?

It's hard to say what the first mods will be. I'm still learning a lot about the dynamics of the engine.

It is a very different monster with all the torque at such low RPMs. It's nice having a car that actually hooks in low gears. Not to mention the stability and smoothness of it at 140+mph. =D

The car definitely won't be left as-is. It's just a matter of what my end goal I want with the car. I want a more diverse car this time around as opposed to a straight-line car. Tossing up the idea of a forged bottom end + supercharger or a built 402 and a TT kit or a fully built 427 and doing an all motor build. After I do some more research, I'll have a better understanding.

In the meantime, I'm going to take the car to Sky Car Wash in Alpharetta and get all the salt from the roads washed off the car and have it fully detailed and take some better quality pics.

Thanks for the compliments and replies.

There are plenty of local Z06s for sale.

None with $4,000+ CCWs, C6 Z06 brake upgrades, $4,500 worth of audio equipment professionally installed and hard wired into the car, or $2,000 Caravaggio seats for the price I got. Not to mention a 1 owner car with less than 13,000 miles, immaculate body, 3M clear bra, and much more. Not to mention receipts for everything done within the last 6 months and less than 500 miles on everything.

So to answer your question; yes, I had to go to New York.

If your wanting to daily drive that car or be able to drive it for long periods of time I suggest headers, exhaust, and a blower. That shit will be as fast as you would ever need, still be reliable and will have a power band good for any type of driving. Buddy of mine's boss bought a CTS-V ( same engine as your z06) and put a magnacharger and that shit is fast even riding 4 deep.

CTS-Vs are no joke.

I've actually been leaning heavily on a supercharged Z06. Enough useable power that I'd need and reliability that I want.

A forged stock bottom end would suffice also and is relatively cheap.
