for the other half of my story, refer to here:
http://forums.importatlanta.com/showthread.php?t=92839

anyways so since i got license back, ive been hunting like mad, especially at dealerships, for jobs. yesterday i had an interview with a place called the 'washbucket'- kinda a xpresslube/carwash/detail/emission station all in one. id be starting @ the same as i ended at my last job(8 per hour), a bigger bonus, and its like 3-4 miles from home. honda MoG called me friday for an interview while i was sleeping and the interviewer only works weekdays, so when washbucket called me today and asked me when i was available to start, i said tuesday so i can talk to honda on monday. they are located on highway 20, right before satellite dead ends into it, right before the intersection with south lee st, next to checkers. if anyone has any feedback on them it would be great.
i need the $ but i would much rather work for honda.

any tips/feedback? appreciated.;)

UPDATE

i was referring to honda MOG. btw thats a very clean GT;) mods? if its mostly stock would you like to set something up? youd probably win, but i just wanna see how id do vs GT.

anyways, i re-interviewed with honda since i got my license back and the service manager still had my app from june. good sign i guess. anyways it went extraordinarily well. so he set me up with a phone interview, then he said a background check/drug test were next and i'd probably start next week if it went well. and he said it would be ok with my license and all. so, hopefully, ill know something for sure next week when all the results are in. i will keep posted about updates.

PS i turned down that first job offering. i think im gonna work for honda, with a stroke of luck.

LOL i was thinking you where refferring to honda MoG, i work at the sams there at gravel springs and 20! So i am all over that area. I tried to get a sales job there awhile back, but they where looking for people with exp at the time. Only exp i had was electronic sales and such!

Also you can call it "stock" if you want! No matter whats done to it...it will always stay "stock" ;) :goodjob:

how much they pay

bobby said hed start me at $10/hour. i have 1 year exp as a lube tech and emissions inspector and am currently certified. i wouldnt care if i was paid 7/hour. the job would make me happy and i would learn 100%
:goodjob: but my last job was 8/hour so this is still a step up.

they wont hire you.

im no baldy but i do tend to sport the high/tight/skinhead style haircut so i dont think they will catch anything. because i dont do drugs anyways.
i will keep this thread updated. i should have more for monday or tuesday to write, as that is when the results should come in from various background checks and an additional phone interview i took.

I work next door, at toyota, and if its te same at honda, then you might run into some issues with your driving record. I'm not in a position that requires me to drive anywhere, but im still not allowed to drive any of their cars. Being a lube tech means you'll have to be able to move some cars if the porters are being lazy, which seems like awlays. We actually had a guy get fired because he got in a non work related accident, they found out and fired him.

Best of luck to you, put in your time as a lube tech then move to service
