Anyone ever throw down the pink slip? Anyone ever lost /gained a car like this, or did the other person/you run off?

Ya my boy Hector told me about that shit. Said something about losing a race in his eclipse. Heard that shit was hooked up, cold air intake, motec exhaust, and a stand alone fuel management system. Shit, wasnt a bad way to spend 10 grand if i do say so myself. Crazy mofo had enough NOS to blow himself up. Heard that shit was a crazy race though. Only thing the guy needs to learn that it aint how you stand next to ya car, its how you race it.

But ya, on the real. Anyone ever put down the slip?

One of the guys I work with put his car on the line at a drag strip. Turns out he won, felt bad for the guy, and let him keep the car. I was like "Uh, if he'd won, do you think he'd have given you your car back?" Him- "I dunno"

I read that alot of the cars that you see won on the show "Pinks!" are actually sold/given back to the original owners. off topic though

1st season and through the half of 2nd season it was basically like that.....

When people caught wind of it and started criticizing them and spreading the word, they made it mandatory to actually give up the car for good. Don't know how they'd monitor that but it was the general idea!

i'd have to:
A) have alot of confidence in my car/myself
B) have a vehicle on standby (ie. a friend w/car there to observe)
c) another car at home.
before i do something like tat.

I throw down the pink, when I win I just want the respect though. To some people that's more important. :lmfao: FNF FTL.

I am old enough, but I havent been a part of this whole tuner thing for that long...

I didnt know I like working on cars til I had to fix this POS '87 cutluss that a friend gave me for free (that had been sitting for 3 yrs with a full tank of gas) because my parents took my car and sold it.

Come on, F&F came out 5 years ago. You make it sound like it came out back when movies were black and white.

Well, I wasn't even old enough to drive when F&F came out (I'm 19). I thought VW Beetles were the fastest cars in the world just b/c my dad had a seriously modified one. I hate to admit it, but the F&F is what got me into the tuner thing. Thank god I learned from the best - my dad - about modifying cars.

EDIT: 600th post FTMFW!!

I can pretty much quote any movie pretty much all the way through after seeing it. But F&F is easy because everything is so ridiculous you remember it.

WRONG...it was Jessy. :screwy: Come on man get your F&F trivia in order or don't play.

Dom had the Muscle car, remember. I know it was Black and fast, but I can not remember what it was. I think, and let me emphasise THINK it was a Dodge.

FNF as released in '01. prior to that i was learning how to fix cars from my girls dad. to date, he's a 37yr mechanic, and for basic repairs, i picked his brain alot. now when it comes to forced induction...i'm still a noob and now i'm picking BTEC's brain.
