What happened?

I pulled the valve cover off, and all I could see was a thick scratch going all the way around one of the intake side cam lobes. I couldn't tell what made the scratch or if the valves were intack. Basically what happened was the oil light started flashing about 1/2 mile from my house so I kept driving it since I was so close. As I pulled it into the drive way it started sputtering real bad, lost most of the power, then it just died. Didn't hear any pop/boom/anything, and now it won't crank. It has plenty of oil and still fresh (oil change less than 250 miles ago). So the only thing I can think of, is since the oil light was flashing maybe the oil pump went out or something? I don't know, but I probably won't tinker with it any more until the head rebuild comes in. Since I have to pull it off anyways.

Oh and before it was running on 3 cyl's with a very loud valve tick. Turned out my plugs were gapped at .60 instead of .28. So that fixed that problem but the valve tick was insanely too loud lol.

Oh ya, and the skyline's forsale if anyone is interested, PM me for details. I won't be posting it in the cars forsale thread. Too many low ballers and I just don't want to deal with them lol

The oil light started flashing but you were close to home so you kept driving it.

Are these motors the same as the regular neons or do they have dufferent internals ?
