I just recently got a new project. It is a 92 Mustang LX with a 2.3t. I am about to get it painted. I am really looking to get to know some people on the board. I am looking for a club to join and go to races and events with. If anyone has room for me just let me know. Car is running in the 13s and soon to be faster. Thanks for looking.

My post.

Nothing to see. You don't make a good presentation to be in a club. Later, QD.

god car clubs are so fucking lame.

why does a club have to choose u instead of u choosing a club. go to the varsity meets or something, meet people and become friends, im sure they let u in their club if u become friends, and if they say ur not cool enough to be in their club tell them to go fuck themselves.

doesnt a stock GT run like 13's?

I am assuming he has a turbo V6...because Mustang GT turbos are ALOT lower than 13's and if it is a GT Turbo..you have issues

If you read correctly instead of bashing he has a 2.3t (a great i4 turbo engine that Ford usesd in the thunderbird coupes back in the day). Many people do swaps w/ these engines that can easily make over 300whp and more w/ the right set up. Nice engines, last a long time. Instead of having a 5.0 small block, these engines are obviously not nearly as heavy, alot better gas mileage, and can produce lots of whp for a i4.

THey used them in the Mustang first. Later, QD.

2.3t is a great motor, ive been in several SVOs and even a 2.3t ranger that were surprisingly quick.

In the 13s? A stock svo isnt near that, like mid 15s. The GTs in early 90s were high 13s low 14s. Is this an SVO swap ino later fox, or a 2.3 n/a w/ a turbo added?
Not bustin your balls, but "in the 13s" says its never been to the track, not sayin it wont do it, but thats a broad statement.

yeah the 2.3 is ok.. I had a stock 2.3 fox body! Its was slow as piss and i had to replace alot of shit all the time.. LOL! and the gas mileage was pretty horrid! I got like 18mpg! but i still loved the car!! i ran mid 20's i'd say.. Im not kidding!

from what ive read about the svo's, they are actually the fastest stock quarter mile time mustang after the 03 cobra and cobra R

and if you think theres a factory gt turbo out there, you my friend have some issues.

all gt fox bodys were 5.0 and when they changed to sn95 body they still used the 5.0 till 96.

actually ford made a mustang GT with a turbo 2.3L engine i believe in 1984 ish. The last year of the 5.0 for the mustang platform was 1995

whatever you read is wrong. You may be able to do a high 14 in a bone stock 86 model SVO (one with 205 hp) but there have been many bone stock lx 5.0s that have run mid 14s and even very low 14s BONE STOCK. Hell you can run high 13s bone stock in a 99GT if you can drive.

You're talking about the SVO, right? The SVO was a factory 2.3t. I didn't know that was badged a GT. Later, QD.

no it was an actual GT i guess with the 2.3T option. Its a very rare car. 1984 though was the first year for the SVO.

^what the hell???

I had an 84 SVO, and I had a great time with it.

They weren't GT's, or anything else. They had their unique front fascia, and bi-wing on the back. They were 2.3T pushing 14 PSI. Koni 5 way adjustable shocks, beefier sway bars, 16" wheels, (Big back then), the axles were 1" longer all the way around, 4 wheels Disc, Hurst shifter, world class T5 tranny's, etc.

They were their own car.

The 5.0 stopped production in 95. 96+ had the 4.6 with different tail lights.

Ask me just about anything about Mustangs, I'll supply.

Actually, here's my old one:
