I've been dabbling with this stuff for a few cars here and there where I would have bumper damage etc.

well, I'm to the point that I wanted to hang my door and rear bumper on my civic and actually, I'm thinking of painting the whole car this way since I can never get all the water out of my air compressor line.

anyway, as I've dabbled I've found a good mix for the base and clear. the clear that paintscratch has is WAYY too thin.

I've found that the standard duplicolor clearcoat goes on much thicker and nicer and you only need 1 to 2 coats unless you're doing a big bodypanel.

what do you think??

oh yeah, and I'm doing this in 50 degree weather lol.

that dupli color clear sucks, you will have to wet sand like hell to get a glossy finish. might as well just do a 50 dolla paint job with a roller. their clear is thin, but just use less coats.

in reality any can spray is going to involve alot of wet sanding, cause the air isnt steady, it will always come out choppy looking.

yeah, I know that which is why I'm going to use normal paint on the rest of the body but for doing door jambs and such, this will do just fine.
